Virtual Advocacy Week

March 29, 2021 - April 2, 2021

The challenges facing educators this year are like no other - and your union will be elevating those issues this Legislative session. Join us to make your voice heard during our Virtual Advocacy Week (a reformat of our annual Lobby Day), beginning March 29. The week will include a series of Town Hall conversations, beginning each day after 5 p.m. Learn more at the link below - sign up early and we’ll send a few OEA goodies your way!

Schedule of events:

Monday, March 29 - Training 5:30-6:30PM

OEA Lobbyists will host a training session on messaging and talking points. The session will be recorded so anyone not able to attend can watch it at their convenience.

Tuesday, March 30 – Budget 6:00-7:00PM

Invited legislators: Representative Dan Rayfield, Representative Susan McLain, Representative Boomer Wright, Senator Lew Frederick, and Senator Michael Dembrow.

Wednesday, March 31 – Student Health and Safety 6:00-7:00PM

Invited legislators: Representative Maxine Dexter, MD; Representative Courtney Neron; Representative Zach Hudson; Representative Suzanne Weber.

Thursday, April 1 – Equity and Inclusion 6:00-7:00PM

Invited legislators: Representative Teresa Alonso Leon, Representative Jeff Reardon, Representative Janeen Sollman, Representative Ricki Ruiz, Senator Chris Gorsek.
