This four-week, online course offers educators an opportunity to explore and/or review curriculum design, pedagogy, and specific teaching and learning approaches that respond to the unique needs and strengths of students of refugee and migrant backgrounds. Participants will complete one mini-project (from a list of options) for each of the three modules, participate in online discussions, and attend at least two of the four offered weekly 90-minute virtual meet-ups with their cohort. Participants will also have an (optional) opportunity to apply for two micro-credentials associated with content from this course. The course is participant-centered and job-embedded, meaning all projects directly connect and apply to the participant’s teaching and learning context.
Cost: $150, includes 25 PD clock hours
