In this workshop, which is for women educators of color taught by women teachers of color, we will explore themes of inheritance and responsibility from our perspectives as matrilineal stewards using Gloria Anzaldúa and Cherríe Moraga’s inspirational text This Bridge Called My Back. We will read poetry and essays to foster conversations and facilitate our own writing. Throughout the workshop, we will acknowledge and embrace all the women who came before us, as we plan how to sustain and transform the strength of these past experiences into our work as women and as educators.

Fees: $125 by 2/12, $150 after. Includes 6 PDUs. Lewis & Clark Alumni save 20%.
