As the 2013 Legislative Session approaches, we can anticipate having a conversation about policy changes to PERS. Governor Kitzhaber included in his recommended budget a proposal to limit the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for current and future public employee retirees. We want to be sure members have the information they need on how this proposal would impact them.

Toward that end, OEA member and Lake Oswego EA President Andy Porter has developed an online calculating tool that will help members estimate how the COLA proposals will impact their retirement benefit.
