Become a Member of OEA-PIE

March 5 & 6, Eugene, Oregon
www.oregoned.org/pie2010

It's a fact of life that politics have a major impact on our children, our schools and our profession. Clearly, if we are to be heard, it's going to take more than a few lobbyists and a handful of interested members. It's going to take your voice, your effort, and your investment in our children's future and the future of public education. A 28 cents-a-day contribution to OEA-PIE will unite you with thousands of other OEA members through OEA-PIE. Together we can make the difference for your children, your students, and public education.

Your investment will:

» Support recommended candidates and issues that are critical to children and public education.
» Work for adequate and stable school funding.
» Give you a voice in the future of education.
» Allow you active involvement in education decision making.

To become a member of OEA-PIE, or to learn more about OEA-PIE membership, contact your local UniServ Office, call OEA's Center for Public Affairs at (503) 684-3300/(800)858-5505, or make an online contribution here.

Receive an Oregon Tax Credit for Your OEA-PIE Contribution
The contributions you make to OEA-PIE and your local political action committee (PAC) are eligible for an Oregon tax credit of up to $50 for a single taxpayer and up to $100 for a couple filing jointly. (Contributions to the NEA Fund for Children and Public Education are not eligible for Oregon's tax credit.)

Members who contribute to OEA-PIE and a local PAC receive a receipt the following January for tax-preparation purposes. The receipt lists the amount of the contribution to use for tax purposes. If you made a contribution, but do not receive a receipt in January, please contact OEA's Center for Public Affairs at (503) 684-3300 or 1-800-858-5505.
