No Cost Project Management Training
Local training classes to learn the fundamentals of project management are available for K-12 teachers and administrators that are certified and employed. This three day class is funded through the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF). Enhance effectiveness and efficiency in the execution of projects in your schools and/or classrooms, as well as your educational, volunteer, and personal life. There is no cost to educators for the training course and accompanying training materials, including catered lunch and snacks each seminar day. Any issues and expenses related to time away from work to participate in this complimentary training, and any travel expenses needed to attend the training, are the responsibility of the educator and/or the educator’s employer.

OEA Local Leader Grants
Local Leader Grants of up to $2,500 are available to Locals to design implement program to meet member needs as directed by OEA's new organizational goals. Download a Local Leader Grant Application form.

OEA Promising Practices Grant Program
Have a plan that could enhance your classroom skills or boost student achievement, but need some funding to see if it works? Have an idea for a site-based professional development activity that could build partnerships, but need some financing to get it going? OEA's Center for Teaching & Learning works with OEA UniServ Councils around the state to award grants to OEA members for various amounts on an annual basis to test just these kinds of concepts.

If you are an OEA member, you are eligible to apply for a Promising Practices Grant. Contact your local UniServ office to request application forms and for specific information about regional deadlines. The NEA Foundation for the Improvement of Education (NFIE) Grants
The NEA Foundation supports a variety of efforts by teachers, education support professionals, and higher education faculty and staff to improve student learning in the nation's public schools, colleges, and universities.  Applications are open now for the following grants:

NEA Fine Arts Grants
The NEA Foundation offers NEA Fine Arts grants to NEA members. Available to elementary (grades K–6) school art specialists through local NEA affiliates, the grants allow fine arts educators to create and implement programs that promote learning among students at risk of school failure. Innovation Grants and Learning & Leadership Grants
Innovation Grants and Learning & Leadership Grants are available for all subjects, including the arts, literacy, science, and technology. Grant amounts are either $2,000 or $5,000. All practicing K-12 public school teachers, education support professionals, and higher education faculty and staff at public colleges and universities are encouraged to apply. Applications for these grants are accepted on an ongoing, year-round basis. The Jordan Fundamentals Grant Program
The Jordan Fundamentals Grant Program provides grants for U.S. public school teachers or paraprofessionals working with students in grades 6-12 who demonstrate instructional creativity and exemplify high learning expectations for economically disadvantaged students. Society for Science & the Public: Fellowships for Science and Math Teachers

Meyer Memorial Trust Support for Teacher Initiatives Grant Program
Meyer Memorial Trust operates three grantmaking programs: General Purpose Grants, Small Grants, and Support for Teacher Initiatives. Specific information, including a grant application guideline for each program, is available on their website: www.mmt.org.

President's Environmental Youth Awards
Since 1971, EPA has sponsored the President’s Environmental Youth Awards. The program recognizes young people across America for projects which demonstrate their commitment to the environment. Young people in all 50 states and the U.S. territories are invited to participate in the program. To be eligible to compete, a student or students, sponsored by an adult, must submit to their local EPA regional office evidence of a completed project as defined in the President's Environmental Youth Award application, as well as a completed application. http://www.epa.gov/enviroed/peya/index.html

Grants for In-school Music Projects
The Mockingbird Foundation is offering grants for in-school music projects that promote creative expression through music, encouraging applications associated with diverse or unusual musical styles, genres, forms, and philosophies. Teachers of Critical Language Program Grants
The American Councils for International Education Teachers of Critical Languages Program brings qualified EFL teachers with at least five years experience from China and Jordan to America where they teach Chinese and Arabic for an academic year in schools that offer the languages as a course of study.
