Oregon Save Our Schools is calling on citizens across the state to participate in a Save Our Schools Action Day, on May 31, 2012.

The goal is to reach every corner of the state. And, through this collective action we aim to inspire and spotlight grassroots action (and pressure) for progressive change.

Initiative Petition: Kicker for K-12
Across the state, signatures are being gathered for Initative Petition 35 (IP 35) known as Kicker for K-12. This initiative would reform the corporate kicker by putting money into Oregon K‐12 classrooms, rather than back into the pockets of large, out‐of-state corporations: oregoned.org/kickerpetition

California Casualty Gives Student Athletic Grants to Oregon Schools
Two Oregon school recently won athletic grants from California Casualty. Elgin High School got $2,000 for new uniforms. Ashland High School received a $1,500 grant for keeping their baseball equipment in compliance and the program running. More about the grant program and how to apply!
