ORELA Elementary Education Exam Prep Workshops
Sponsored by OEA - For OEA Members Only
The ORELA Elementary Education Examination is required of most Oregon educators working to obtain an Initial I license with authorizations at the early childhood, elementary, and/or middle school level. Many of those teachers currently hold an Initial or Restricted Transitional License. Special Education (SPED) teachers can also use the ORELA exam to meet the federal "highly qualified" requirements for their SPED students at the elementary and middle school level.
OEA offers free ORELA Prep Training to our members and student members. This training will cover information about the test framework and protocol, related licensure questions, and content resources and will provide relevant practice test items that can assist in preparing for all topic areas covered on the test. A full 3 hours is required for this training so please arrive on time. All that is needed is a notepad, pencil and highlighter.
Education for All Diversity Training
The ultimate goal of the diversity training is to increase equity in classrooms and schools throughout Oregon so that ALL students have equal access to quality learning and growth. Contact the Center for Great Public Schools at (503) 684-3300 or e-mail Penny Hildreth with questions or requests for training.
